    Well Hallelujah,

I drove my PRIUS home a few hours ago.

I love it, may be sleeping in it.

56.3 mpg on the way home.

Hi Steve - and welcome!. . . . . I still remember the thrill of picking up our '04 as though it was yeaterday . . . kinda stealthy . . . the original owner (put the 1st 10K miles on it) was in the army (medic or some thing similar) and conspired to skip out of the country. I met him at John Wayne airport ... handed over the remaining cash (already paid off his new car loan) and we parted company. The excitement has diminished very little since that day in '04. Hopefully, some day there'll be enough fuel saved via hybrids and plug-ins that we won't need to have our trillion dollar 'influence' running all over the world. OK ! I'm off my memory lane / soap boax.
    :p

Congrats on the new purchase.

So how long does "finally" mean you actually waited? I am on week 10 and have been told it could still be about another two months before mine gets delivered.

BTW, that hasn't sat well and I am in the process of pursuing another path to getting essentially what I really want.

Most of finally had to do with convincing SWMBO. Then locating vehicle and price I wanted. Overall, about two months.
