    Great! Amazing technology! Thanks David for posting this. I don't have a Prime, but the Professor's videos are a wonderful way to learn about the Prius. I'm now watching the videos about regen braking, and the transaxle. My head is spinning.:eek: The engineering minds of the people who invent and design this stuff... never ceases to amaze me. What a great gift they have.:)

    That's a pretty big battery in the Prime. And it gets 25-30 miles EV range? Now I'm curious how many batteries are in a Tesla, that goes 300+ miles on a charge?

    changing the rear shocks (10 years from now) for DIYers (who buy a new to them 2017) is going to be a real bear, having to basically remove the big battery, to get at the shocks screws. ;)

    Trading mine in when it hits 8 years. Did that with my 2010 and spent near nothing before all the big service charges begin to add up.

    John Kelly has a ton of videos up. I've watched only about 5, but geez he knows his stuff.

    One battery with many cells. On a model S, the whole thing is 1,000 pounds, give or take.
    Meanwhile, this estimate puts the weight of the battery in the Tesla Semi (max range model) at over 11,000 lbs.
