I want to register on toyota-tech.eu and download the wiring diagrams for my 1 year old Prius Plug-In but it wants the model number of my car to do that. It make a few suggestions on how to find the plate with number on it. (Sorry I can't post links yet)

However I can't see a plate with a model number on it. There is a plate with the Vehicle Identification Number attached the the bonnet (hood) but it only has that and no model number. Anyone know where it might be located?

@JimboPalmer I have updated my profile. I think it shows the right thing now, we seem to have different names for the vehicle models in Europe. When I first registered I was planning to buy an older vehicle but decided on the new one in the end.

@Tideland Prius shouldn't Prius PHV be a selection option for profiles? Or are we just using US names where possible to minimize model confusion?

As if we Brits weren't confused enough without having to cross reference international nomenclature.

When I registered it just asked for the VIN number, have you tried entering the VIN ?
I think the model number is the same as the Gen 4, ZW50

So to clarify my vehicle is known as a Prius Plug-in in the UK. The issued conformance certificate says "Toyota Prius PHV".

That's right. In UK Toyota don't call it the Prime. (n)

That’s a good idea; use the Print button in the upper-right corner of the window to get a PDF version of most of the figures, which you can save for later reference. Some of the location, routing, and inner circuit diagrams have several pages, selected by clicking page numbers at the bottom of the window, with different PDF files for each page.

In the Search feature on toyota-tech.eu, under Model, click Prius Plug-In Hybrid, under Basic model code, click ZVW52, and under Publication types, click Electrical Wiring Diagram. This should take you to the Electrical Wiring Diagram, EM32E1E.
Too high—ZVW55 is the liftback Prius with E-Four, sold only in Japan.
Too low—ZVW50 is the liftback Prius with a NiMH battery. (ZVW51 is Li-Ion.)
I believe the name label is affixed inside the left front door, in the same place as the certification label on vehicles built for the U.S. market. In another thread, @pakitt kindly posted a photo of the one on his car. The model number will be something like ZVW52R-AHXEBW. The New Car Features book explains the meaning of each character; “R” means right-hand drive, for example, and “W” indicates a vehicle built for sale in Europe.

Well... it IS a US-based forum lol.

Anyway, I've made Prius PHV as an available option.

Thanks. I found it. This time of year is awkward as I leave and arrive at home in the dark. Finally got up and out early and got to work with a little time to spare and found the plate inside the passenger door (left door on my RH drive car). Its ZVW52R-AHXEBW.
