Well, the Prius is just about 3 months old & I have my first "Ding". Somebody's door put a small dent the the rear quarter panel. Did not chip the paint, just a small dent. Bummer, I am sure that I will receive more as the time goes by. I can't justify the repair cost now.

    Sorry Tom,

I know the feeling. Mine was two weeks old and someone smeared white paint from a bad parking job across the left rear bumper. It stinks. This weekend I bought some rubbing compound and voila! she is much better - not perfect, but much better.

    All the best!

I just did our first hand wash of spring, and after the long winter it's always hard to see the new blemishes.

Depending on how much it bugs you, and how much you're willing to spend, you might look into paintless dent repair. I think little dings can be as little as $20 - $40 to fix.

Just washed and waxed mine. My ding isn't usually noticable but more chips and scratches than I would have thought. Found out tonight that the eco-friendly paint isn't as durable as what I (we?) am used to.

I washed mine for the first time this spring also, Monday. Temp finally hit the upper 70s. That is when you can find all sorts of nicks, etc. One thing that surprised me is that the car is really larger that its looks. I am 6 foot and I had to stretch to reach across the roof.

The only dimension I don't like is that it is slightly taller than my Intrigue. At least it has less surface area. :)
