First Gen 5 2023 Toyota Prius cars show up at the dealers!

My local dealer is telling me I can get in line for a Limited with hopes of delivery 6 mths out. I take whatever color they paint it as part of the deal

 

Over 4 weeks later and nothing. I checked a few listings and they all state "Vehicle is in build phase." There is not one photo of a Gen 5 on any dealer lot within North America.

 

The Tesla Cybertruck's gonna be on the road before the 2023 Prius!!

If anybody sees one in real-life, take a photo and post it here

I know some dealers are saying they have them in stock and "contact us for pricing" yadda yadda but I'd take all that with a pinch of salt.

i'm pretty sure if any priuschatter knew of one actually being at a dealer, they'd be there for pics/test drive/measurements/details and etc.

 

That's not actually what they wrote in their last comment:

Writing "next week" makes me think they're skeptical they'll see their car this week, as they were previously told the same thing. We shall see...

I put a deposit for a cutting edge LE from the North East allocation on Feb 3. Looks like Production hasn't started yet, Dealer gave me a March 22 ETA. From Production to Ro Ro to the dealer i don't think it will be here by then.

 

Caught my attention when I read "ontario"... then i saw the rest of the line

 

@Gokhan Will you be able to check a VIN status and ETA to the dealer?

 

"Vehicle is in build phase."

This lines up with the first shipment coming to Canada. I've seen "end up February" as the first deliveries here.

 

And we are back to "Vehicle may be in transit."

"are" and "may" is a big difference.

Going to drop out of this thread.
