First Long Island Prius Meeting

Anybody here has any experience with Long Island dealers?

I only been to BayRidge Toyota in Brooklyn. Their service department was OK. Just want to see if there are alternatives.

Since I maintain my car myself, I have little experience with dealers.

When I had Toyota Celica, I went Millenium Toyota (where I bought it) for the first time after making an appointment.

When I got there, there were many ppl before me and it turned out that doing an appointment does not matter. Or at least the time doesn't matter but you have to make an appointment to show up.

I waited to correct the serpertine belt and belt pulley. There was a service bullitin out for it but they refused to do it. So I decided to try another dealer near my home (Star Toyota). And I have horrible experience with that dealer as well.

As you can see, there is no value-add to your question.

I bought the Prius at Westbury Toyota. So far, so good. I haven't had it serviced yet, but they sent me a check (unsolicited) for an overpayment on my NYS registration. I would have never known about the overpayment. They have a large service facility, and claim to have several Prius trained techies. I'v notice that they have good coffee in the service dept., and Dunkin Donuts, as well.

I was nice meeting everybody there.

Sorry I couldn't stay longer, but the wife and kids were in the car and getting antsy!

 

When is the next Prius meeting? We always joke that there should be a Prius club on Long Island (we are in Farmingdale). We collect muscle cars and go to Mopar etc meetings, but are loving our Prius more than anything right now.
