I just got my 2013 Prius C early January.
It has about 1,300 miles on it.
Next weekend I am going on my first long trip with it from Oregon down to California, over 700 miles one way.
The only thing I really worry about is driving through the pass and all of the high elevations.

    Any tips??
As far as weather, it is looking way better in Ashland then it has been recently here in Salem! I am not worried about bad mountain conditions according to the forecast.
I just want some advice on the best mpg, etc.

    Welcome to the forum!

Don't worry, I've been a couple of times at 7,000' here in Big Bear CA with no problem at all.

Try not to speed, like 75mph+ for long durations. That will kill your MPG. I just did a 550 round trip run, from Dallas to Houston and back. I maintained speed around 65mph for the majority of the trip, and got 47.7MPG in 33°-39° weather. Only thing I did was maintain speed, didn't use cruise control. And I have 32,000 miles on my C. Elevation shouldn't be an issue. I would YouTube pulse and glide techniques if you haven't already. Hope you have a good trip.

I took mine on a 5,000 mile trip this past fall. I posted my trip here under the heading Vernon Birdman on the road. I also live in the mountains in British Columbia. Just drive as you would normally. She can handle any conditions

Drive as vernon birdman says. (Why "vernon birdman"? )

I pretty much drive the way I drive my Prizm - "leadfoot" - and my average over 20,000 miles is 52mpg. That's according to Fuelly and not the slightly optimistic mpg displayed by the car.:)

While the mountain roads in wesern NC aren't as high as CA I rember driving my Geo Metro with no problems in CA and ythe Prius C isn;'t that much different. If your tuires aree all weather and only 1300 miles noew there should be nothing different from any vehicle driving along the s;ine.
    Enjoy at 45 to 50 mpg !

I will not mention my various nicknames - might not be fit for a public forum.
