    Yes, and they will also perform a 100-point inspection and lose all your tire-valve caps and coolant-tank caps as they did with my 2020 Prius Prime. :)

    I vaguely remember my 2009 Corolla also had 5k-mile (8k-km) oil changes on optional synthetic 0W-20 as well as conventional 5W-20, despite having a brand-newly introduced engine. So, this doesn't seem to be a US vs. Canada thing. Toyota was merely being cautious to make the transition to 10k miles after their class-action lawsuits on widespread engine sludge.

    If I had a time machine, I would probably change things other than my oil-change schedule.
