Fitting a new Toyota HV batt - any tips please

    I never rang any others and checked

    I do have a quater inch drive torque wrench, but I didn't use it.

    Are you able to tell me the torque setting please. It's pretty easy to pull the battery out and check.

    I cleaned the fan and blew out the duct work with compressed air.

    Thanks for the advice, I might phone Toyota Australia even if it is too late.

    Core fees are typically charged to the customer at time of purchase, then refunded when you return the old battery. So in your case, you didn't need to pay a core fee? That's ok. If on the other hand you were charged a core fee, and now they don't want to accept your old battery and/or refund that core charge, that's not so good.

    A parallel concern: regardless of the old battery's viability, core charge or not, doesn't Toyota have an obligation to take back the old battery, recycle it responsibly?

    I get the sense this is one dealership service manager, dragging his feet.
