Moon. You have noticed that some nights you see it and other nights not. Its illumination changes shape. Looks different in southern hemisphere (flat-earth translation: outer circle) How does that work?

Stars: Different stars are visible in different seasons and (earth) hemispheres. How does that work, flatly?

May all be explained at Flat-Earth website. Go click. Bwahaha.

    ==
And yet, an alternative explanation might be considered. Gravity-bound twirly balls with stars being way the heck out there. Explains a lot. Just a thought though.

    :D

I've got the opposite problem: find myself increasingly seeing the "passage" of day and night as rotation of this sphere we're on, and the seasons as this journey our axis-tilted sphere follows, around yon distant fusion reaction. When I was younger I didn't think like this, saw it more traditionally.

Strange too, the proliferation of youtubes on the premise: we couldn't have managed this all on our lonesome, there must have been alien intervention.

I am surprised educated people even waste time on this.

I was going to mention time, but thought I better reign myself in. It's the one thing that really blows my mind.

You are getting beyond most of them, and won't be able to drag most of them into considering all these things. Those that could do so, are generally not on that side.

Most of what I've read from them was back in the hardcopy and usenet days, and haven't looked again since websites were created. And I spent much more time digging in to the young earth than the flat earth arguments.

Only 1800 feet? The lazy bum. Many of us climb much more than that as ordinary day hikes to local peaks.

Actually, this guy's attempt is even more stupid. He's launching from an area of the desert that's already at 1,000 feet so he will only be 1,700, not 1,800 feet above the ground he plans to photograph.

Even worse, the Sheep Hole Mountains, just a few miles away from where he is trying to launch, rise to over 4,000 feet with many of the peaks providing an unobstructed view out over the desert he is planning to see.

Note: I live about 150 miles from Amboy and drive by it quite often. That area has a lot of hills and peaks; it is far from flat. The "flat-earthers" would be better served launching over Kansas, Nebraska or Florida.

Will there be enough room on the rocketship to more than 20?

Yes, please. And keep them in orbit until they come to their senses. Flat Earthers are one of the few times I lose all respect and think: "How can you be so stupid?"

Can't most consumer grade drones climb around 2000 feet? They can carry cameras and do the photographing without the stupidity and wastefulness of this idiotic attempt. The amount of resources he is spending can surely be better spent on a small drone carrying a camera. But I guess reason and rational thought is not part of the equation here.

Live video from 'the red car launch' had a distinctly ballish earth in background.

Yeah, but the video, and all space videos don't convince them. Besides, they also don't know what a Tesla is. And if they did, they wouldn't believe in them.
