Flaw drains gas from hybrid vehicles

    "Just in short loops around town, with a mix of highway and urban driving, we averaged nearly 54 miles a gallon. I don't think we've driven anything else that came close to that, with the possible exception of the Honda Insight, which is a two-seater. I noticed that when you're alone in the car, it feels pretty peppy, but with two adults on board, the power train feels like it has to work a little harder to keep up with traffic, particularly in situations like passing and merging."
