Went to look under at the spare tire area while cleaning today. I found that the 12v battery is sitting in a pool, and a lot of the insulation and carpet around that area is pretty wet. Not sure if anyone has any idea one what could cause this?

it's usually cracks in the rain gutter welds. under the black trim. most people use a silicone sealant.

less often, it's the hatch rubber seal or the hinge points

While that's the cause, most people just drill a hole at the low points in the various areas;).

Fixing the cracks can be fiddly, so just be aware of another tact(y).

Very common for 12 volt to be swimming in its hole. Take the battery out there's a rubber plug in the bottom of the well. Don't remove the plug just drill a hole through it to vent the water. Do the same to the rubber plug under the spare tire.

If you remove the plug and the car lives outside you may get a mouse infestation which is also very very common. Mice love the taste of the G2 wiring.

The drill suggestion is fantastic, thank you guys so much. I’ll try to find the cracked plastic piece as well!
