here's the primo gps software with the calif map only if anybody wants to try it, just extract the file, put the folder on your sd card, then point your flyaudio unit to the application in the folder, have fun

Do you have a Prius that includes the JBL amp (under the passenger seat)? Then you need a JBL adapter. You can purchase the one marketed for this unit $$ or buy a PAC or Metra product. The adapter which is marketed for this unit includes a plug and play harness otherwise you'll have to do a little splicing.

my problem with the install is opening the dash , im afraid of breaking the plastic dash pieces if i dont remove them correctly

i'll have to check, so it's the amp under the seat, not the side speakers that say jbl right ?

    thanks

Any chance you could post some video of the unit in operation? I'm seriously interested in the FlyAudio unit and would really appreciate video of the iPhone interface, bluetooth and nav in action. Any plans for satellite radio?

Their US website has not been updated since June 2010 when they announced the 2010 Prius unit. They never posted the Prius installation pdf or answered any posts in their Forum. No system updates - no maps ------ nothing. I don't expect anything in the way of additional features. Plus, this looks like a close-out the price is below invoice according to the retailer.

Downloaded the file. It can't be opened by Windows it has a file extension of .FLL

Is that correct or should it be JPG?

FLL is the file extension used for a logo file for Advent HUs. I assume it's the same for your unit. I'm not sure exactly how to convert a jpg file to a fll file.

‘logo’ at ADC Mobile – Your Professional Partner

if you want to try any other logos.

I agree. This price sounds like a close out. I don't know if flyaudio is about to come out with a new product, discontinue making a prius specific model or if that particular vendor will no longer be selling flyaudio.

I uploaded the Prius installation instructions to the "sticky installation" thread.

I have a question about the Flyaudio unit.

I have BT and JBL speakers with my Prius. Will the controls on the steering wheel work with this unit?

    Thanks!

The steering wheel controls will work fine. You'll need a JBL amp adapter. (nothing to do with your steering wheel controls).

I don't know about customs either. My unit is on the train somewhere in the Midwest headed to California. So it got across the border OK. I also ordered a Camry 2009 backup camera on Ebay from a US shipper. I got that today and expect to get the FlyAudio unit early next week. I expect the camera install will take double or triple the time as the nav/radio unit.

Expect to get a phone call to verify if you have the JBL model.

Nope, UPS takes care of it all. My FlyAudio made it from Canada to Louisiana in 5 working days.
