Finally installed. For me it took about 2 hours...mostly to get the top screw to go on. But somehow I managed, on both sides. On driver's side I got it from below, and on Pax side from the top (after relocating a few things temporarily).

Well ! It turns out the two separate yellow lines are the Fog lights ground.
The A-1 is the white wire
The switch harness are spread under to the dash board. (See pictures !)
Still waiting for the relay to come and finish the installation this weekend.

Yea! That is the switch provided by Jomico_0, the eBay seller.
It may look odd on the picture but its black color blend in with all other existing buttons.

I tested it with my potable 12 volts battery and verified that the blue line of the switch harness
is a positive trigger for fog relay 86.

Finally got mine installed (no electrics yet). Key is to do the driver's side first because the windshield washer tube and tank is in the way on the right hand side and you have to work around and/or remove the tube. Took about 2 hours done by an in-law who is a professional mechanic and very familiar with the innards of Japanese cars--how to remove flaps and clips and the like. Also stuck on the chrome 'eyebrow' on each side to give a more complete look. Looks transformed especially the harmony with the indent line on the front fender and the headlights above. Well-worth the effort and cost IMHO (ebay supplier). Thanks very much to randomwalk101 and many others on this thread. Much appreciated!

Got a PM from a member, so I thought I'd post here for posterity's sake:
    1. Did you have to buy the relay separately or did the eBay seller include the relay? Where did you end up mounting the relay?

A: I did not use a relay. The fogs and the DRL are always on whenever the car is on.

    2. How do the fog lights work? Do you switch it between modes using the relay?

A: I would imagine you would; but again I did not use a switch at all.

    3. Which fuse did you tap into or use when you added a fuse?

    A: Pictured below:

    [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG]

    4. Did you have to remove the bumper to install the fog lights? Also, where did you secure all of the wires?

A: Nope. The bolt at the top is a bit hard to reach, but doable. I did the driver's side from the bottom, and passenger's side from top. you'll need to Jack up the car in the front to give you some space.

Plenty of space to route the wires. Starting from the passenger's side:

I took off the cover at the front of the vehicle, and routed the wires behind the pegs holding the cover.

On the driver's side, there's room to bundle up the wires. A little ghetto, but oh well.

Drilled a small hole to the side of the fuse cover to feed the wires:

    5. How hard was it to get the wires into the car? Are there specific wires you connect to the relay or the switch?

A: No clue, since I didn't do it. But IMHO I like having it on all the time anyway. Looks pretty cool.

Installed the eBay lights, red is DRL, white is Fogs, yellow was not used, black is ground.

I installed it without the switch, I had too much trouble trying to pierce the grommet as I did get the coat hanger through one time but wasn't able to get it through the other times that I tried as the time I did get it through, the wire slid on the coat hanger so it didn't go through.

I have both the white and the red wire hooked up right now so all lights come on when the car is on.

    Hey guys,

I have an extra set of 2016 - present Prius fog lights for sale if someone is looking to add fog lights to theirs.
I've been using a same set for over a year no without issue..I config it to be on constantly as long as the car is running.
This extra set is brand new.

Thank you the write up to the installation process. It was great to see it as my fog lights arrived yesterday. Thank you again!

I just bought some fog lights for looks; I dislike the black inserts that my 2018 blue prius came with. They came with a wiring harness, and a switch for the dash, but I don't want to go through all the rigamarole to set them up this way.

I can, of course, leave them as inoperable, but is there a second best which isn't so complicated as a full install?
For example, can the fog lights be used as DRL lights, and go off when the headlights are put on? Or is it not suggested, or illegal, to have them on all the time?

Wire them up with a relay. If wired correctly, they can do what you want, come on when ignition On (Ready), and turn off when ignition Off or headlights turned On (lowbeam override).

Thanks so much for your reply ... do you happen to have a wiring diagram for that, and what sort of relay should I purchase?

Hi I hope some of you see this.. as I bought the same set for my 2018 ... I need some help with their horrible wiring diagram.
It is shown as the Black and white one same diagram. so I have 2 yellow wires - they are marked to directional. not sure where to tap in for that. Then 1 white wire, 1 red and 1 black wire - red positive black neg - white wire no idea (it does come from connector on both lights ? I did this on my 2015 it was much easier... could use some help on the 2018.
