    Outgassing is a standard issue with any new car. Some have speculated that, because the Prius has a bigger-than-normal plastic dash that's exposed to sunlight a lot, it might be worse than some other cars.

    Personally, we didn't notice particularly bad outgassing on the Prius; no worse than most other new cars, anyway.
