Yes. We test drove a MY 7 seater. The rear 2 seat are unusable by adults. You need to be 5’-4” or less or the roof glass touches your head. We we all set to buy one until we discovered that. My wife was unimpressed with the luxury level of the Model Y. “I spend $57k and this is all I get?” She said. So we got a loaded GL550 for $38 with 15K and spend the money we saved on gas. 3,912 gallons of fuel will make that car go about 73k miles.Which is the cost savings over a MY. And at 6-0” I actually fit in the 3rd row seats. It is a very big SUV but she had one before and loved it. Happy wife happy life.

I hope they come out with some other models, they’re competing with Toyota for last place

I thought Automotive Group stellatis had that dubious title
All they got going so far is a (poor drag cd) plug in Jeep & a plug in minivan (acceptable drag CD). Baby steps for these last couple groups. At our age we may never see the day that a one ton 4x4 diesel Ram pickup is even hybridized.

Hey, the smaller gas Rams had (mild) hybrids before Toyota did their pick ups.

Toyota will manufacture and sell hydrogen fuel stations to others. But they won't establish a national network of Toyota run hydrogen fuel stations. They sell the sizzle but not the steak.

Current Superchargers are limited to 400V (except for the V4 but only a handful have been installed so far) while Kia/Hyundai (and Porsche) are using 800V. True, they can charge at 400V but they cheaped out on their voltage conversion circuit which makes the charge rate much lower than it could be. It's not at their advantages (yet) to move aboard.

Not even for 50k chargers in the US?

I went shopping today and saw a Tesla circling perhaps trying to locate the 10 stall charger setup. It occurred to me there was no standard signage convention to help locate the station within a shopping center. Unlike the gas station and its obvious location and signage just off the road.

Oh I know your app does everything for you but then why was the guy circling. (No plus were in use at 10:30 in the morning half way between Raleigh and Pinehurst and about half way between Raleigh and Fayetteville.

That's odd, because the navigation screen shows where the stalls are in the parking lot.

Agreed. Although I must add that it might just be possible that they were circling for some other reason;)

That missed the point. 800V SAE Chargers that have an SAE head can be switched over to the Tesla head.

Oh, you meant like EA adding/switching to the NACS plugs capable of 1000V? For Kia/Hyundai, until EA and the like do, they would still be stuck using 400V Superchargers if they switched to NACS. So, IMHO, it's not "Come on Kia Hyundai ...what's the holdup?" but "Come on EA ...what's the holdup?" (yes, they did state they'll add NACS plugs but saying and doing are two different things, like saying they have a reliable network and actually having one ;))..

Well, according to this article from last spring,

"Of the more than 5,000 charging stations, nearly 1,500 are ultra-fast charging sites in over 500 cities"

How Many Charging Stations Does Electrify America Have

So I would say it's more than an handful, and a really much more than the real handful of V4 that have been installed so far.

I don’t think ‘ultra-fast’ means what you think it means.
The link you included did not define ‘ultra-fast’.

I went to EA’s web sit to locate an EA charger to see if I could find more details.
    https://www.electrifyamerica.com/locate-charger/ny/central-valley/498-red-apple-court/210372/

I clicked on 4 or 5 of their charges. All were listed as:

It may be running at 800V, but it isn’t faster than most of Tesla’s chargers.

No, the ultrafast are the 800V/350 KW fast chargers, but being EA... Why do you think other car manufacturers are getting in bed with Tesla to be able to use the Superchargers infrastructure?
