If you could develop an app that would track cars like this so that new buyers looking to buy from profit-hungry car dealers could get the real scoop from the previous human owner you would make a fortune. Cool that you are offering this to any potential buyer. Outstanding!

 

Now if I could only find my 1983 Porsche 944...

 

LOL. Are you crazy? Most people trade in their cars cause they are about to break down. And the privacy concerns....

 

I'm impressed at the low miles on it, well before any issues with oil burning, clogged EGR, and headgasket failure.

Just as a reference, when I bought my 2015 new, it was under $21000 including taxes. This car being almost 10 years old, selling for more.

 

So you traded it at a Toyota dealer who auctioned it. A Honda dealer bought it and is selling it for $21k?

 

The more people that click on that link, the more views that page gets. That Honda dealer won't want to budge on the car price with 1000 views

I'd of never believed $21K for a 9 year old economy car... But these days out on the west coast the prices keep getting crazier and crazier.

 

The dealership's price discovery may turn out otherwise.

 

The Honda dealer is hoping some uninformed Honda buyer needs a car immediately and will sign the loan papers. A few weeks later he or she will be here asking about the funny brake booster noise. After the 3 day return and 30 day powertrain options have expired.

 

Off-topic I guess, but I recall decades back we spotted one of our previous, traded-in cars, a mid-eighties Accord. Hadn't seen it in a few years, recognized it by the distinct pin-stripe I'd applied.

 

Back when I ran a VW camper van conversion shop in Santa Cruz, CA. (Country Homes Camper) I built about 80 vans over a couple years. They were the last of the '89, 90' & 91 VW vanagons. We'd buy them new for about $13K wholesale and put on a poptop, build a cabinet, install an inverter, fridge, propane system for stove, sunroof, awning and sell them for $28K. I got paid $7.13 an hour and gave 2 weeks notice when I found out new upholstery guy I was training was getting paid $10 an hour. Even back then I knew that one day I'd see dirty hippies driving around in beat up old vans. And I still do!
