    Hi guys,

I found this used PIP in neighbour country. Its like only one close to my country. What do you think, please? Is mileage really bad for this one?

    http://www.tipcar.cz/inzerat/toyota-prius-18-plug-in-hybrid-na-dobijeni-cz-100112804.html

price 16000 EUR, mileage 153.000km ! Color, accessory, I like very much, its pretty all I would like to have and even more. But those km looks too much for me. What do you think?
    thanks s lot

Relax...153 km is only 96000 miles. Looks like a beauty. Just guessing you might pick that up here as low as $US14000

We have no big failures reported on any PiPs so far and some are getting in to that miles range or higher,

thanks and wow if its 14k USD I will buy now, but for 15k USD here are only with accident. Also somebody elso, who think 96k miles is still ok for using another 5 years/7k miles per year/ ? I know, that nobody nearly know, what PIP will do with 200k miles and so on

thanks guys :) I really hoped, that you will tell me something against it :) Btw, what is the consumption of charging with 220V ? how much kW it drains? Reason I am asking is, that my FV panels can mostly generate 2.5kW per hour and I am not sure, if it is enough for chargin PIP.

I overlooked your question. I have friend working in Toyota, he can check WIN if there were regular services and connect car to pc for some basic check.

Petrol here is 1.25 Eur per liter. Its quite same as electricity if recalculated

electricity is all over the place in the u.s., i'm in boston, but even other parts of massachusetts are quite a bit cheaper. it depends on your supplier, i think ours is a french company.

Thinking about accidents and maintenance history: ours took a good hit, and if you were to look up it's service history, you'd see nothing, I've done all the routine maintenance myself. And yet, the car is completely pampered, like-new condition, very frequent fluid changes, including transaxle fluid, brakes regularly maintained, you name it.

What I'm saying: just looking at a car's service history can be misleading. And dealership service can be a joke. Or not. You really want to have a good, in-person look over this car, and have it looked at by an independent/honest/competent mechanic.

your calculation doesn't sound right. maybe i'm lost in conversion.

    1 litre = 12.5 miles = 1.25 eur

    1 kwh = 2.75 miles = .12 eur. 12.5 miles = <.60 eur?

well, I never recalculated it, as i have solar power. but lets do it quickly and roughly: 1 charge = 20km, 4kW needed = 0.48EUR for 20km. That is 60x0.48EUR = 28.8 EUR for my regular 1200km full tank. And with petrol it is 55 EUR. So even If I pay fully for electricity for charging, its almost half the price with EV. not bad

that's how it was when i bought my pip in 2012. electricity was 16 cents, and gas was $4./gallon. how quickly things changed.

its not worth in US to buy lets say 3kW fotovoltaic plants to your house? In Slovakia it was total non-sense, till we get green support from EU and they give you back 50% of the price. Back to topic, although I like that white PIP so much, I would prefer something with app 50k miles on it to be sure for another 100k ahead for me :)
