Haha! Honestly I love it in silver and would have been more than happy with that color. Our Land Cruisers are both silver and I’m a big fan of the color!

We've had the Prius just under 2 weeks and have about 3,200 miles on it already. The ADAS / driver assist features work brilliantly, and I prefer them to the Model Y to be honest. Our last Model Y even had FSD which I almost never engaged because it did not feel safe, and interestingly felt like a massive step backward from our 2018 Model 3 which had Enhanced Auto Pilot. All in all the Prius has been very enjoyable to drive and an extremely comfortable highway cruiser.

Let me tell you, it is RED. I picked up mine today and drove it two hours back to my home. When I got out, it was a very bright day(and 90 degrees) and the sun was blasting the car from over my shoulder as I turned back around to the car. It almost attacked me with the red.

While it's beautiful in all conditions, I think the red looks best on a cloudy day. Indirect lighting just brings out the richness in the color.

I'm certain I will after some sleep. lol

I've been pretty much detailing nonstop for a couple days in prep for the trade. Less than 5 hours of sleep last night and up at 5am this morning. The car's batteries might be full, but mine is flat.

I can confirm that 51 plants and 200+ pounds of compost and mulch fits nicely in the Prius - not in the same trip however. The hatchback is awesome for utility. I can't wait to take it camping!

Red looks absolutely incredible on the new Prius. Black was #1, red was #2, White was #3. Alas the stars only aligned enough for #3, but still consider myself very fortunate to secure one at all this early in the release. Being on a wait-list since late last year probably helped some.

Thank you for posting this! Great to see your Prius in action. In the meantime last night I dreamt I fell in love with a newly designed (only in my dreams) supersonic red electrified VW bug that was gorgeous but not practical. : )

Quite the contrast between these two. I had my best mpg tank ever last week on a road trip in the Land Cruiser and saw 15.1mpg and last fill up on the Prius was 56.5mpg on the Prius.

My wife's car still does has the overall efficiency edge, but the Prius range is by far the best!

That pic makes me wonder why some cars have the integrated front license plate mount, while others like mine have a removeable black mount. I thought maybe it was the color of the car, but here's a red one just like mine with the integrated mount.

Red's the only non-drab color they allow in the USA.

Did you try taking the black mount off? My bet is that there is an integrated plate mount under it.

Japan requires a front plate, as do many states, but the plate holes of each country don't line up. That's what the removeable plate holder is for. Dealers in states that don't require the black holder simply aren't installing it. One might be in the trunk of the car.

This makes sense. CT requires both plates. A plate attached to the front integrated plate mount without the black holder over it would look pretty strange.

I think the integrated mount will have two small dimples for the port to install the black mount correctly in states requiring front and rear. There should be exact instructions how to do it. The black mount is in cars.
How do I know? My 2020 came without a front plate and no mount. I asked the selling dealer to provide me a Toyota brand mount. They did. I looked up the exact instructions and installed it per them. I would have drilled two small pilot holes in the dimples. The instructions said not to do that, use the supplied self tapping screws in the dimple without drilling a pilot hole, and do not over tighten. The alignment of dimple to black mount holes was perfect.
I would guess the 2023 is similar.
