Fuel Economy Survey- Am I Hopeless?

    This will keep accurate records for you. I enter the data at the web site an view the analytics in the application. You can enter and view from the application. They did have a bug at first but seemed to have it resolved. The web site is interesting. You can look up you car model and year and see how your MPG compares to others in similar cars.

    i think 40 is about right for your area and drive. you can improve it if you want to by studying threads here on driving tips to improve mpg's.

    That's more like it! (y) 40 much better than 29! Now you know the Prius is really saving you some bucks on gas!!

    Glad to hear that you are closer to 40 than 30. I would expect mileage in the upper 30's to lower 40's in the City in wintertime.

    As far as the 29 mpg, forgive me for asking......but is the display reading 29 mpg or 29 mph? I don't have a Gen II (like yours) so I don't know if it shows an average speed, but it would explain why you are seeing "29" and your hand calculated mileage is 40 mpg. It's happened to others on the site (where they mistook the average mph as mpg).
