Looking at the carfax for a potential Gen III buy and I see this service being performed regularly almost every 2 months from the same dealership "Fuel injection system flushed/serviced" along with several "Induction system checked" reports. The car has had 2 owners but both serviced at same dealership the entire time and both with this service repeatedly performed. Is this just a dealership ripping off their customers or is this a potential lemon with some engine issues trying to use the bandaid solution?

Any car visiting a dealership every 2 months is enough to let you know to shop else where.

    welcome!
every 2 months? was there a price? are you sure they were doing it, and not just recommending?
why in the world would anyone have their car serviced every 2 months, does it list mileage?

I mean it was on the carfax as if to suggest it was work performed. Regardless I test drove the car and decided I think I'd rather get the Gen4 anyway.

It was a dealership ripping off knowledgeable owners. Next question? ;)

Sorry, I meant "unknowledgeable owners". To much in a hurry to leave this morning.

not necessarily. If the person drove enough they could have been racking up the 5k every 2 months and been going in for rotations. records unseen i don't know but just because owners took it to dealers every 2 months doesn't mean its bad. again the records will tell the story. buyer needs to hit up toyota.com/owners with the vin
