My leg literally gets worn out from holding my foot up after a 40 minute drive. If I let my foot relax on the pedal it just sinks in and I start accelerating fast. I have a jeep and a full size truck, neither have this issue. This is my first car is this normal? Can the spring be changed?

I've never noticed any trouble. Try it in ECO mode and the pedal will be less sensitive to movement.

I've heard of "having a lead foot", but this is a new one... Adjust seating position, perhaps?

If anything, I'd say I've experienced just the opposite. I suppose there could be something wrong with the tension on your pedal - in which case you might want to ask a dealer to look at it. Has anyone else driven the car and reported the same experience? Or is it just you and your foot? ;-)
