Gen 2 Loose bumper fix with Gen 3 Kenstyle plate?

    There's a big helpful thread on loose Gen 3 bumpers. I wonder if the Gen 2 bumper is similar enough that the pre-made 'Kenstyle' reinforcement plates for use on Gen 3 will work on my (2005) Gen 2 too? LeftRear.jpg RightFront.jpg

    That gen2 gap is nothing compared to the gen3 gap. The gen3 cars looks like the bumper is about to fall off

    I hear you, JC91006. Admittedly this feels like a cosmetic issue; it's the pressing it in every time I pass it that is making me nuts.

    I actually go through that with my Gen3 car LOL. This normally happens when the bumper is a replacement bumper and is not an original Toyota part.

    My bumper is original Toyota; but it's driven to the Arctic Ocean coast of Alaska on the Dalton Highway where no sane person takes a Prius.

    You can try removing it and see if all the side clips/attachment points are intact. There is also the piece that the bumper sides attaches to on the car body, that part normally goes bad.
