    76,000 mile 2014 for $13,600
    Or
    84,000 mile 2008 for $8000

14k is my budget. I’m a first time Prius buyer. I’m looking to travel the states in the car.

    Any advice?

    I also found a 2016 for 14k at about 115k miles.

Which would you find to be the best deal??

I find time to be vastly more vital in predicting reliability than mileage. Therefore, I wouldn't even consider the 2008. At only $400 more, I'd get the 2016 over the 2014 despite higher mileage.

I'd search for a 2008 with low mileage like that one, but at a much lower/more honest price... Usually you have to buy from a private seller because everything they've ever said about used car dealers is mostly true.

Hmm yeah it seems low a really reasonable price. I’m still contemplating on getting it - and it is from a dealer. I figured saving a bit of money would be worth it. Looking through the forums I get the impression that Gen 2 can last well over 200k, maybe 300k+.
I was initially thinking Gen 3 but soooo many people on here talk about the potential issues with them I’m thinking twice.

i might just get that Gen 4 for 14k. I’m not too sure yet.

i like the 2016, all things being equal. if it has a good history, and no issues, it is a much better car than previous generations.
just be aware, there may or may not be a spare, and if you're going to sleep in it, the floor may not be flat

Ok great I’ll be able to do some modifications I’m sure. I’ll look into slipping into the back when I go to check it out.
