My wife's Camry is paid off in October so its my turn to get a new car. Will the 14's be out by October? Probably very little changes/improvements with it being the expected last model year before the gen4.

Not totally up on it, but I think the 4th gen Prius will be model year 2016. Maybe sometime in 2014, there will be spy shots of 'mule' cars being road tested. The unveil could be in Jan 2015 at the Detroit NAIAS, then the new car will hit dealers maybe late Spring, 2015.

This was the same deal going into 3rd gen. 6 model years of 2nd gen, 3rd gen teaser video in Dec 2008, reveal Jan 2009, cars arrived May 2009 as 2010 model, but then you get 1st cut cars. Mid cycle refreshes 2 1/2 years later have nice upgrades.

Don't know if there will be a new Toyota hybrid for 2015 model year.

According to the site below (which seems to have been accurate in the past), the MY14 Prius production will begin October, with initial deliveries November/December:

btw, Camry, Camry Hybrid, Accord and Civic have been on 5 year total redesign cycles, but Prius liftback, the car that needs redesign the most was on 6 year cycle and looks to be that way again. Yay.

These cars are redesigned every 5 years, but pretty much sheetmetal redesign, no big deal! but Prius is all about HSD redesign.
Yes, I also believe in the 6-year cycle for Prius. I suspect it will show up in 2015 as a 2016 model (Late).
IMO, the ideal time for GenIV launch would be 3rd quarter of 2014(Showroom), and it's not because my lease will end in Dec '14, or is it!. :D

Total redesign on Camry Hybrid HSD, that's how it went from 34 MPG combined to 41. First intro'd in 2007 and all new in 2012, only 5 years.
