Went to drain the old fuel out before starting her up & pour coolant in inveryer and my boys doing pre pour assembly completion leak checks on our front end wreck rebuild and found the connector broken off the brass body of tank. Searched several Prius parts sites & Ebay but can not find the coolant tank sensor on the bottom of the insulated tank just the very expensive assembly including brackets etc. Anyone ever found one seperately or a part number?

If that does not work out then I will plastic welder epoxy the connector body back on and solder the terminals back (not necessarily in that order) on in order to bring it back to functionality.

Found it & picture matches it exactly! On a long shot searched NAPA android app. A little pricey so still trying salvage 1st:
    Coolant Temp Sensor
    $ 67.99 /ea
    Part Number: TS5831
    Product Line: Echlin Ignition Parts

It is not listed in any of the predefined catagories so I had to do a part search for "Temp Sensor" and was 5th item from top.

I was going to add it had to be either a temp or level sensor. $68 is too much for it though. How many wires run to it, sir?

After much searching and testing (as all closed at about 180-200F) following both (all 3 parts in our with 2 same # salvage pulls) both #'s tested and are compatible.
    Cross ref research:

Ebay EU says LWS095 fits both below elbow & tank oem #'s below.

Coolant recovery bottle sensor 2 prong / sender:
    89429-47010 '06 Prius oem # ours broken=
    BWD WT5231 interchange '08-'13 Prius

    Salvage pulls from elbow sensors:
    89422-33030 oem # salvage Gen 2 qty 2=
    Import Direct 17-1279 $52.99
    Master Pro Q-9381

That looks exactly like the ones I changed on numerous cars. If it fails, CTS readings go to -48F. The car floods itself and is almost impossible to start.

Answer to your question about wires is two.
