Gen II Backup Camera - replace OEM with aftermarket

    I have a 2006 Gen II Prius, with JBL, NAV and backup camera. I'd like to replace the backup camera with something newer that has much better resolution (every time I get in a rental car I get jealous). I'm planning on replacing the OEM stereo with a new head unit, so that side shouldn't be an issue. How hard is this:

    (1) Physically, to fit a new camera where the existing one is? Is there anything standard about the existing camera or how it attaches?

    (2) Wiring - is a new camera going to work with the existing wiring?

    I will probably use a professional installer for the stereo, so I'm hoping this is something really easy to add to the job.

    Good question on using higher resolution backup camera in Gen2 Prius. I am thinking about doing the same thing.
