No, have you seen them? I haven't been to the junk yard in 20 years.

Around here it’s rare to see a prii on the road or in a parking lot let alone in the junkyard

I haven't seen one either due to there are just no junkyards around near me. There were couple about 20 years ago in my area but it's closed. However some part of US junkyard is still a thing for people to go and pull parts.

We used to have a car graveyard nearby, and more than once I saw wrecked gen II out front, still on the flatbed that delivered them. Typically they were taxis, with front ends stoved in, and airbags blown.

The graveyard's gone now, replaced with this "bustling" pay park-and-ride :

A local yard near my parents house In Lebanon TN usally has about 4 to 6 damaged Prii. We've bought many parts from them, even a prius plug-in engine to replace a 2010 engine due to headgasket failures. The year is in the middle of nowhere, I never expected them to have any Hybrids.

The owner is from Jordan, and he says he fixes of prii occasionally and sends them back home to Jordan for his family members, he loves them since they are so tough in the hardest environments.

I have seen about 7 Priuses around Tulsa U-pull recyclers in the past year and a half. One or two Gen 1, one Gen 3, and the rest Gen 2. They tend to get stripped very quickly and then removed from inventory - so i imagine to get good parts you kind of have to keep re-checking the yards (their website inventory) on a regular basis. Most of them are not crashed. Just about every one I saw had an engine/transaxle and an inverter.

A big chain yard told me they do not sell traction batteries, but at a locally owned yard today I saw a 2007 prius traction battery for $149.95
