Gen iii makes noise while sleeping

    At night in the quiet garage i sometimes hear a whine coming from the rear of car. Cooling fan for battery pack? This long after running car. It will stop if i turn car on and then off.

    It even says in the manual that the car does and will make noises after shutdown that some may not be used to.

    Earl,

    That whining noise you hear is your Prius crying because it wants to be let out to go to the bathroom. These cars are just like puppies, you know.
