    Right, but what was the necessity for making it smalller? Would have sold better, and would probably still be in production

    It was for Europe. They like their hatchbacks. (Ditto the UX200/UX250h that's replacing the CT. It's small and designed for Europe)

    Yes, that's my point :) The CT and the Auris it was based on have IRS, the Gen 3 doesn't - so the Gen 3 Prius was a less likely candidate to be the basis for a Lexus. Of course it's different now.

    toyota screwed up, to put it bluntly. not the first time, and won't be the last.

    no one else is doing better though, so we're stuck with 'good enough'

    Prius is like a reliable Wife, CT is like a fancy Girl Friend meets THAT need. Inside Both would have same engine but decorated differently as per the class :)

    The CT does drive much nicer than the Gen 3.

    Recently purchased(not personally for me to drive) the CT 200h (2016 F-Sport model with 41K on it for $18.5K. Owner babied it with WeatherTech liners and covered inside garage.. that guy kept his car at his mom's place to drive it when he visits from the other state at times).
