    such a shame, I think you should try selling the car for $3500 before you dispose of it. I for one would want a nice good condition 2007 with under 140k miles

    don't get me wrong, if i were in your shoes, i would either try to sell it as is, do a cheap battery fix and sell it, or crush it, whichever is more profitable. then i'd buy a new prime in maine for under $20,000.

    If you are semi DIY, why not just purchase a 2014/2015 battery pack from a wreck and install those modules into your case? Probably less than 1k total investment for a battery that would put 10 years life into your car.

    I see now that the new battery packs from Toyota are shipping with Generation 3 cells. Probably would havevinfluenced my decision. Too late now because I have moved on to a 2014 Prius. I have a thread about my car search and subsequent purchase.
