Gets a mild shock on hand touching door while exiting car

    And there are no little green men in the trunk either......
    That is not the issue-
    Sorry I couldn't resist.
    Try a little "Static Guard" in the car
    It is not so unusual to have to that issue in non hybrid cars either.
    The idea of synthetic material generating a static charge is plausible though.
