Hi. I am also considering the Pinnacle by Formula One and you are the only person I've seen that used this tint. The shop in Sacramento where I was going to go recommended 15%; they also said there wasn't much difference between their 'classic' tint and the 'Pinnacle' tint. So, I am trying to decide if I should do the $125 'classic' or $300 'Pinnacle' - both are for all windows behind the front passengers and done at 15%. My goal is heat reduction. Thoughts? Advice?
    Thanks!

I am not sure why they adviced that, since its advertised that Classic vs Comfort and then vs Pinnacle as more heat reduction, though it may be because of the nature of dark tints already reduce a lot of heat.

Pinnacle Series - FormulaOne High Performance Automotive Film you can select the Type and view the product specs.

From what I can see, I would go at least Comfort 61% TSER vs 45% with your 15% VLT choice , the main deal in general is ceramic tints(pinnacle) reduce heat without having to go darker, but I needed/wanted darker for privacy and Pinnacle was best of both worlds with out having to go lurking for Ceramic Huper Optik 5% or 15% , hard to find.

Also note instead of dye & metalized tints ceramics also allow high TSER with out blocking electronic signals, though some users reported no difference in there experience, I just didn't want that variable down the road, get her done, get her done right.

Another reason people go Formula One is the lifetime warranty idea which other tints do provide.

I drive that way a lot too! Hope my 45's on the driver and passenger don't get me pulled over.

Have my stickers placed properly. Hopefully the CHP will just sail past me.

I will get tint this weekend in Redondo Beach. The place has very good Yelp reviews. When I called, they quotes me $200 for all windows others than the windshield using Johnson films (non-ceramic). The reason they suggest this apparently the warranty includes both the film and the labor. Do you guys have any experience with this film?

There's a guy in Huntington Beach that uses Johnson films. People seem to like his work. I think he charges $150 for a 10 window job using non-ceramic films.

Sounds good. Can you please let me know the phone number of the name of the place for the Huntington Beach guy. Redondo guy is local to me, but I may drive if the other guys is just as good based on review at a cheaper price.

Just ask the guy to do the job at a cheaper price. $200 for non-ceramic seems expensive. I would expect $150-$185.

This is the place: Auto Tint Specialist - Window Tint Huntington Beach

If you're down to drive to HB, then you may want to give my guy Leo @ TW Tinting in Santa Ana a call. He uses Madico films and does excellent work. I think his prices for regular film (non-ceramic) is around the $150-$165 range.

For the MAP feature phone, I have been having fun using the Lumnia 900 Windows Phone, its pretty decent I was an old school Windows Pocket PC phone user, Also use iPhone 4s and Samsung Galaxy Nexus so I know whats out there, looking forward to Windows phone 8 to solidify themselves vs Apple / Google and still Lumnia 900 is a good phone, yeah I said it...

THANK YOU! I am an old school windows user also ... using HD2 and loving it, but the entune internet apps don't function so i wanna upgrade to something where all the stuff works - MAP and Entune. It was my understanding that Entune doesn't fuction with windows mobile?

The media-related Entune apps (such as Pandora and Movie Tickets) work with iOS, Android, and old Blackberries. The Advanced apps (like charge management) work with iOS and Android. No other platforms have Entune support.

But note that phone and message functionality is not related to Entune; only support in the phone's OS for the relevant Bluetooth protocols is needed. iOS does not support the MAP protocol, but all Blackberries and many Android phones do. The various protocols related to phone ("Hands Free" and Phonebook Access Profile) and messaging ("Message Notification") are also supported on other platforms as mentioned previously, but I am not familiar with the specifics.
