Wow, they look great and I'd love to have a lighter nicer looking rim. But at almost 2 grand for a set that ain't gonna happen. Sorry.

Maybe you missed the other thread. You can order directly from Japan for about $1,400 shipped for 4 rims.

is that for the 15" or 16" and is that shipped (for sure) pretty good price :)

just offering them to everyone, im most likely going to order a set for myself, kind of a shame to put wheels on the prius and end up loosing MPG's, these Volks are light strong and looks awesome :D

That's a good mark up on the price. There are many sources where you can acquired this set of rim with a reasonable price. :D

has anyone completely ordered a set of the wheels for $1400, i mean people advertise low ball prices all the time, hahaha

i know my source is legit, the shop owner rolls on Volk wheels himself, so they dont only sell the product but also use and beleive in em

just saying...tons of fly by night companies out there LOL

im still debating if i want 15 inch for maximum fuel economy gain, or 16 inch with some sacrifice with acceleration but with improved ground clearance.... tough choice.

    plus bigger always look better!

You don't get better ground clearance with the 16" wheels. You get slightly better handling (lower flex in sidewall) but slightly heavier wheels/tire combo so slightly lower fuel economy. You have to use lower profile tires with the 16" to keep the overall diameter the same, just as Toyota does in the "touring" model vs the "standard" model. Either way, the ground clearance is the same as the overall diameter is the same.

awesome! 15 inch it is!!! this effectively reduces the weight from the stock wheels at least 20 lbs!!! so in unsprung weight terms that's a lot! i can taste the acceleration difference already yum :D

now im going to debate if im going to keep my old prius rims for winter tires or use them on these nice ones lol, but that would be a shame if they were damaged

edit: probably going to wait till my tread for these current shitty good year allegras to die out but that's going to take awhile since i'm easygoing lol.. but never th eless if the group buy is so cheap enough im down! people just don't realize the difference that unsprung weight makes compared to ripping out the seats in your prius (which is sprung weight... useless....)

I am definitely interested. Too bad Advan hasn't jumped on the wagon yet. I too am still debating weather I want to go with 15s or 16s. What were you thinking?

It would look great with some coilovers and styling package version a.

List price on the 16" wheel is 49,000 yen....$454.29 US. Not much of a deal, IMO.

if u guys are not familiar with authentic parts from Japan, they are quite pricey...there is not much profit margin especially if you add s/h fees...i know i used to own an aftermarket car shop

hence there is another person on this site that is getting them for a bit cheaper not much, but their contact is overseas and i dont know of anyone that has ordered them yet???

since i didnt get much response on these wheels...i may just order them for myself when the need arises

if people still want the deal we need 10minimum orders mix n match sizes are OK 15 0r 16

    thanx

Volk makes a similar fitting CE28N wheel that is 2 lbs lighter:

    15x6.5 (+38, +45) 8.11 lbs

It would be interesting to see how the offsets fit on the Prii. I wonder if the lighter, slightly wider wheel would yield better fuel economy?
