Good Deal in Orlando FL?

    So I've rented a Prius for the past few days while my old pick-up truck is in the shop and I'm in love with it. I've done some hunting around my neck of the woods (Orlando FL) and I've gotten an offer for a magnetic gray package 2 with bluetooth for 22601, plus TTL. ($22601 is inclusive of dealer fees and delivery.)

    Is this a good deal? Any advice for a soon-to-be-first-time Prius owner (and first time new car buyer)?

    Hey neighbor! I live in Winter Springs and just bought a Package 2 in Classic Silver for $24300 (total out-the-door). Mine included floor mats and toyoguard. I purchased from Central Florida Toyota (best price). It was between them and Courtesy Toyota. David Maas Toyota said $25000 and not a penny less, so I said see ya! They had dealer installed window tint, but that is not worth an extra $700. Only take offers on out-the-door pricing.

    PS - Don't buy the extended warranty from the dealer. I got it on this site for $990 (7yr/100k), they wanted $1450.

    Wow. I'm working with a dealer in Fort Lauderdale and another in Miami trying to figure out the best price. How long ago did you buy?

    Thanks for the info. I just bought last night from David Maus. It was a 2007 with package 2, with mats, toyoguard, bluetooth, window tint, and dealer extended warranty (that has a $100 deductible).

    It was $25032 out-the-door.

    I bought on May 26, 2007. Sounds like you got a pretty good deal. Out of curiousity, how many miles did your car have on it? Also what is the length of your warranty? Is it from Toyota?

    Car had 8 miles on it before my test drive and 17 miles when I signed the paperwork.

    The warranty is for repairs only at David Maus and has a $100 deductible. It's not the same as the the one through Toyota, but since I'll be in Orlando for the next seven years, driving up to David Maus doesn't seem too bad.
