    Evan-

As a medical professional, with a penchant for frequenting internet sites, you would be AMAZED how much information is out there about you.

So, do you care if I post the link to all of the places I have been able to prove you have been (in the continental US, that is...)?

That's been my search theory - Track the doctor and you'll find the bridge...

I have been to a lot of places, but only a tiny fraction of the places I intend to go.
But you needed look so far from home for this one, the clues are on this site in some recent posts.

Hmm, I might have figured out your hint, but then again.

FWIW, I stumbled upon a very interesting site http://www.bridgemeister.com/ that has a list of suspension bridges that can be imported into google maps at http://www.bridgemeister.com/gearth.php

From my view, it appears both the original bridge and the replacement appear to be suspension bridges. For the replacement I base this on what appears to be the towers on the shore. However the site listed is a bit picky about its definition of a suspension bridge so it might not be in the listing. I have searched around but haven't had any luck. Maybe someone else will crack the code.

That would be the Penobscot State Bridge close to Verona, Maine. . .

Another closer, albeit, soggier look at the bridge when my wife and I crossed it in the fall of 2005 during our foliage tour.. . .

be right back with mine . . . This one should be easy

Wow, I hadn't pegged the vegetation as being Maine-type, so I was really off. I guess the off-season picture threw me.
This is actually the bridge that freaked out my wife when we were going to Acadia Nat'l Park. She was driving, doesn't particularly like heights or narrow bridges, and we saw this off to the side thru the trees over the gorge as we approached. I thought it looked cool, she didn't agree, then at the last second the road turns and goes right over the bridge! She white-knuckled it all the way. I bet the new bridge will be lower, wider and have higher guard rails (in other words, more boring). She'll appreciate that.

(New Chinese submarine, spotted for first time (as far as we know), by amateurs)

Here's an article about it: http://www.newscientisttech.com/article/dn12204

    Image coming up...

Hint: There's something Roman in this picture, but it's not in Rome.

Okay, no guesses yet, and I won't be monitoring this tomorrow, so a couple clues, which will probably make it too easy, but oh well:

    A closeup:

This is nearby, has something to do with the other pictures:

It is N. Roman St., Arabi, LA (East of the New Orleans limits.)

    Here is the next image.

I should say not! It's "god's" tower - or berthing slip for Noah's unpowered vessel after a 40 day voyage, Mt Ararat in eastern Turkey

You just don't know how many volcanoes around the planet have small companion cones - after many fruitless journeys to Shasta, Etna, Kilimanjaro et al I finally thought long and hard about that clue and finally, as they say, "got a clue" about what we were looking at.

Alright, give me a moment to go fetch a landmark ----

We really gotta figure out how to avoid "colliding" answers!

    Drat!

    Carlsbad Caverns!

Give me a few minutes to come up with a new one.

Well, sorry for the delay, but for several fantastic ideas, google maps had no reasonable resolution coverage.

No hints needed, plenty in the image. Enjoy!

    [attachmentid=9710]

P.S. My wife wants credit for suggesting Mt Ararat (although I came up with the clue to lead airportkid on!)

On the bright side, at least you didn't have to come up with a new image!

Got it on the first guess - that's Huey Long's old hideout and last stand, the Louisiana State Capitol in Baton Rouge. Those river barges made it someplace on the Mississippi; and that Capitol tower's shadow reminded me of a famous old Broderick Crawford movie.

Well, if this doesn't bang up against someone who spotted it even quicker, this means I gotta go plant a new flag somewhere on the earth's surface. Give me a few moments ----

Hint was too good! You had me googling all over until I understood the hint.

The image is rotated and is Loch Ness!
