    Even after identifying it, it was still hard to find.

    My first successful landing in MS Flight Simulator took place at this airport. That would be Meigs Airport on Northerly Island, Lake Michigan, right next door to Chicago.

    Why Mayor Daley isn't in jail for felony destruction of property and public endangerment for what he did to that runway speaks volumes about power and how powerless the law is against the powerful.

    I think if we could identify the sycophant gene and eradicate it from the human race with strong pesticide it would make an enormous improvement - but I digress from the map game at hand. I just had to give a public shake of the head at Daley's crime.

    No wonder I couldn't find anything in Palo Alto to match that image.

    (I have no idea how you determined that was Arecibo - good sleuthing!)

    Hah! - that's Mount Rushmore, zoomed in, and rotated 90'. When I leaned back from the computer, it looked like at least one head. Unfortunately, there was a cloud over that part when they took the picture.

    Here's a peaceful place, even farther north:

    I'm not expecting anybody to find this spot, just one of a thousand, but I thought it was too cool not to share: crop circles of a terrestrial kind, making an art-deco appearance:

    That sooooo looks like Pashimeroi Valley, Idaho. :D
    So do I get to claim the non-credit? :lol:
    It was kind of hard to find using Google Earth - the images were taken at different times.
    Just look at the roads and the mountains on the right for confirmation. Crops change. ;)
    [attachmentid=8844]

    Believe it or not, I'd been there! :eek:
    For those who don't know, the circles are done for watering purposes.
    The linked picture below - which is of the Pashimeroi Valley - shows one of the watering rigs (especially if you enlarge it) . . . they pivot around the center.

    I'm still trying to figure out the image which is in play. :blink:

    Dang! SPE nice job! :eek: You should get double credits for that. :D

    To the right side of the photo there is a runway that runs almost directly North-South, the headings should be 10/28. I looked for a bit but didn't find it. He did mention that it was a peaceful place and ND has a Peace Garden but as far as I can tell it's unrelated.
