Whats weird was I wasn't getting alerted people were posting on this thread! Anyways that stinks you HAVE YET to get your flash drive! Hopefully it will come on tuesday! We all know how the USPS is.
super thankful for the link that was posted. i was told the stick would arrive in 10 - 12 days but it never came. glad i'm not the only one they forgot. didnt wanna wait another 2 weeks and i am nowhere near a dealership.
Finally it's here. I got it yesterday! So it took 10,5 weeks to get it after I received an email from Toyota.
will see... I didn't try navy yet, but I will post back about left and right experience, since I had this option before. So far I have no problem with bluetooth connectivity, entune options or the stereo.
Thanks to the person that posted the update files back on the first page. I just got my Prius C this past weekend and the EnTune system was still at v1.8.4. The sales guy, and the parts guy had no idea what I was talking about when I asked if they had a USB Drive that they could use to update the EnTune system in my car. Seems like waiting on Toyota to mail you one isn't a short wait either. The update downloaded from here worked great!
I updated my entune the very same day and gave an extensive test. Honestly speaking I have no problem with my bluetooth, apps, voice commands nor navi, however, left and right destination commands are gone. That's the only issue I have at this point.
Toyota's response to the left/right issue has been pitiful. I reported it via the website on July 23rd, with a follow-up in August, and have heard nothing beyond the boilerplate replies.
I called and emailed them. I got 2 of them today. Postage due!! Cost me $0.05 to get them. Really ... all that fancy packaging and sending out everyone flash drives so they must not have been able to afford all the postage. :-D
You need to call them in order to get one. They were feeding me with bunch of promises that I might get one until August 31st. They also said that if I will not get one by that date I need to call them back. I called them back on Sept 1st, and got it 12 days after that. It took around 11 weeks in total to get it. Good luck to you...
When people said call or email Toyota, what # to call and email address? After I bought my C4 I haven't contacted the dealer I got it from or Toyota for any reason. I've received letters from them but didn't respond though.
Upgraded my entune today with the poasted .iso file in this thread. It worked like charm !. Now I need to ask why did I upgrade ?, I do not see any difference or any new feature. I was hoping at least I could see my Tire pressures from within this Entune upgrade.
I am not sure if you could get all functionality of a plug-in entune with c's update From what I can see on Toyota's entune page is that plug-in guys have such features as Charge Management, Remote Climate, Vehicle Finder etc.; however, c's entune doesn't offer such options at all.
ftl if you still interested with reply, I've got an answer from Toyota's engineers. That what they said: "Your customer is correct the behavior of the Left/Right Guidance. Example: Some apps were announcing “You have arrived at your destination on the (Left or Right)”, when it didn’t actually know which side of the street the destination was actually on. The problem is some applications use the geo-coordinate for the location while others use the actual address. We used the example of Gladstones (in Malibu) from Google Maps. It shows the pin in the middle of the highway instead of at the actual restaurant! The next version will announce “You have arrived at your destination” or “You have arrived at your destination on the (Left or Right)” depending on what part of the system you are using. The change is intended to prevent the system from announcing the wrong side of the street."
Announcing which side is your destination is very useful, can same some U-turns. I love that accuracy.
