    That is good to know. I speak for my case with Honda. It specifically said so on the label of the DVD.

    I finally tried this yesterday. I was able to downgrade from 04.1 to 02.1 (and upgrade back) with no problem in my 2002 Prius. The message about inability to go back to an earlier version evidently applies only to the specific earlier version mentioned in the message, which is old enough that Prius owners don't have it anyway.
