    That pretty well discredits the award. How can the best selling hybrid ever not win it even once? Whether you like the Prius or not, it was/is clearly a breakthrough automobile. Sort of the like Academy Awards, figure skating or Nobel Peace Prizes...

    Playing DA here, the award appears to be for greenest new car, and the gen2 Prius came out before the awards were held.

    Which doesn't explain how Ford or Toyota lost this year.
