Hmm, maybe I can carpool with hi. We'll both be in Davis.

 

i'm interested in going. too bad i no longer live in the san francisco bay area. the good news is that i'm always up to carpool with other socal people.

 

This happens to be on the last weekend of my vacation. Depending on how my wife can work her schedule, I would love to show up, check this out, do a dinner or something on Satuday night! Meet a bunch of youse folk!!!!

P.S. What's this carpool nonsense bubba, between me, my wife, her luggage and shoes, where is anybody else gonna fit!!!

 

Glad to see there's now a West Coast version but, :doh: I don't live in the Bay Area anymore, otherwise I'd be there for sure! It's a whopping 853 miles one way from where I live now to where my parents live in San Jose. I've done the drive one way, solo (actually from a slightly closer to WA starting point) and it was rough, for me, due to time pressures...

I'd ordinarily fly when "going home" to the Bay Area, where I'm originally from.

Hmmm... I might consider it if we end up carpooling down but I'd want to take my car and split off from everyone else for a day or two after the expo is totally over. I'm not sure I'd want to spend my $ on an airplane ticket either, I think. I've also got some things going on in my life right now (that I can't elaborate on, for now). Decisions decisions...:decision:

 

Sharing gas costs four ways has to be about the cheapest way to go. But the other three people in your car would likely appreciate a ride home, too.

 

LOL! Of course, I'd be driving back to the PNW. But yeah, I do not know if the hypothetical others would appreciate me going off on my own for 1-2 days before jointly driving back up.

 

Well for those hypothetical others, I have a couch and some extra floor space if anyone needs a place to crash for a couple days during and/or after the event.

 

I call dibs on the couch. And if memory serves, we'll have to go grocery shopping on the way there.

 

Good memory! There is a Trader Joe's nearby and farmers markets if you come on the right days.

Wife and I plan to be there. We are two gallons away to the northeast of Sacramento.

No, the DRIVER controls the tunes. We take turns. If I'll shut up long enough to turn on the music, anyway.

Mindy, you'd get a better response if you posted your question in the right place. Try one of the maintenance forums - there are different ones depending on the year of your car.

 

I used too, but alas, all good things come to an end and that girlfriend left me!
Now 2 GF's and a wife later, can not duplicate problem.........too bad!
