    2009 Green Grand Prix Schedule:

    7:30- 8:15 A.M. Top off your fuel tank at the Valero Gas Station, just South of the W.G. State Park entrance on Franklin St. Our workers there will seal tanks.

    8:00 AM Fuel Economy Run registration begins at the Glen Motor Inn, 1 mile North of the village of Watkins Glen on rte.14.
    8:45 AM Registration closes for Fuel Economy Run.
    8:55 AM Drivers meeting for Fuel Economy Run.
    9:20 AM ChicagoSoft Green Grand Prix Fuel Economy Run begins from Glen Motor
    Inn and travels around perimeter of Seneca Lake (approx. 80 miles). Proceed North on Rte 14 , then East on Rte5 and 20. Stop for exactly 10 minutes at the Geneva Chamber of Commerce on Rtes 5 and 20. ( required break time)

    Proceed East on Rt. 5 and 20, then South on Rte. 96A, then South on Rte. 414 and enter Watkins Glen.

    Take Rte. 14 South to same Valero Gas Station and top off your tank, assisted by our workers who will note consumption.







    . approx.11:00 AM ChicagoSoft Green Grand Prix Fuel Economy Run vehicles return to IMRRC display grounds, 610 S. Decatur St.
    You MUST enter through the one-lane entrance just North of the IMRRC Racing Library, then you will be shown where to park your vehicle.

    12:00 noon Lunch- Dining tent, IMRRC Display Grounds.
    1:00 PM All displays open at IMRRC Display Grounds
    Open Mic Speakers.
    2:00 PM Awards – Speaker’s tent.
    5:00 PM Displays close.

    Note: Cars will be released fron the Glen Motor Inn 1 per minute . You may travel 10% slower than the posted speed limit, but any slower than that, you will be penalised. We have timed the course.
    You should have 2 people aboard. If you have only one person, you should be carrying 120 pounds of ballast.
    If you have access to a video camera, please bring it along. We will offer a prize for the best video put on YOU- TUBE depicting any part of your day
    at the Green Grand Prix !

    I will send our list of 10 vehicle classes for awards based on EPA HIGHWAY ratings. The vehicle in each class that gets the best mpg's, wins.
