Do your have any objects obstructing the shutters to keep them from fully closing?

Someone else had a block heater power cord installed in the way.

No idea - but it could be serious - I assume you've checked coolant, oil etc? And powered off and on.

I wonder if they should put a CTRL-ALT-DEL button on the car to reset?

Need to clear the codes. The dealer can do it.

No liquid at all. Both signed came together. The thing did not hit the Radiator.

Man, you are very lucky that thing didn't hit the windshield! (That reminds me to check my grills when I'm washing the car.) I think your dealer has to reset the check engine light.

I wonder if there is a list of all the possible statements that that little screen can say? If there is, then it would also be nice to have a list of what to do when the message appears. Although at least one of the messages does explain, in no uncertain terms, to "BRAKE!!!". I actually had the larger screen display a statement that informed me I was running low on fuel, and at the same time, asked if I needed directions to the nearest gas station. One more reason to love my Prius.

Yea they delete the check engine light now at the dealer. They said the fuel tank was not properly closed. Last time I put gas I hear the click. The grille got busted a little bit. It is still there. I just glad it did not hit the windshield. Thx to everyone!!

Don't some warning lights go out on their own, after a few drives? I read that can happen if it was the gas cap triggering the light, for example.

Does seem like they were grasping at straws btw, with the gas cap explanation for your case.

The light may go out but the stored code remains. That should be enough to fail NJ inspection.

I got a message on the big screen when driving: "Gas Cap Lid Open." I guess I accidentally hit the release button.

It should eventually go out on its own after some number of ignition On-Off cycles.
