My 2007 Gen 2 UK (EU) model (owned since new) had the rear pads and discs replaced at 80k and front discs and pads done at 97k. The former was in response the dealer (of eight years) saying that it was a 'red' safety advisory. (I should have looked more closely but listened to the safety advice). I would recommend getting a second opinion, as different garages had different opinions for quite some time on the state of my front pads and discs before I got them done, which I got done during a major service (during which I had the failed 12V battery replaced for the first time)... it was a kind'a early 100k mile birthday thing. I think age (corrosion) played as much a part as mileage for a car of this age operated on UK roads and left near the coast frequently. It is funny that dealers spot things that cost you money, but don't always spot warranty claim issues, in my experience.
