Has anyone adjusted their engine/transmission mounting points?

    I am looking to swap engines, but if im going to go that route, i might as well do a lift as well since I always wanted one on the prius.

    I want to move/cut/weld the mounting points lower. The whole purpose of doing this is to keep the driver side axle rod straight and not at a steep angle when lifted. Is this doable or am i over my head here?

    I'd think a couple extra axle joints over the life of the vehicle would be cheaper and less work than re-doing the mounts and potentially having to elongate several wire harnesses and coolant plumbing runs.
