    Naptown,

Just as you started this thread I visited a "automotive parts recycling
facility," a good old fashioned junk yard in east Ballamer, Crazy Ray's,
6101 Erdman Ave. -- also has a yard in Jessup. I picked up a pair of
dual-tone FIAMM horns from an Audi for $6 US, at least $30 savings.
Got the connectors and ~12 inches of the orig wiring harness too.
They're black plastic, look just like the chrome ones patsparks posted.

There's a $1 'entry fee;" bring your own tools, pull your own parts.
(A gruesome place; every one of the rusting hulks used to be somebody's
"baby;" now just carrion being picked over by jackals. Sobering.)

By the way, should you prefer them, there are lots of MBs with horns
there too. They look like the Prius horns on steroids, don't have an
actual horn flare like the FIAMMs.

When I got home a did a side by side with the OEM Prius' horns. They sound
like the iconic 98 lb. weakling:

"Er, sir... Ah... Excuse me... I'm sorry."

The FIAMMs sound like the muscled bully:

HEY BUDDY, I'M TALKIN' TA YOU! YEAH, YOU!

I've got a bunch of other stuff on my plate right now, but soonish with
the info posted here I'll get them in. Timing is half the battle.

    Thanks for the thread.

    BCNU

    Yo, Bro! That's the place!

Most of the MBs are along the fence to the right next to the road
in that view. The ferrin cars are six or eight rows deep along the
    fence to the far right.

Parking lot is to the left. When I left Amapola there, her single
locking-the-doors beep sounded soo plaintive. Thankfully, not a
Prius on the lot. If there were, I would of lost it. I'm not really
cut out to be a jackal.

Oh yeah, bring old shoes and a plastic bag. There's all kinds of
formerly vital fluids in puddles in the rows.

I'm actually grateful that the Prius doesn't have a really loud horn. Early this morning while I was still sleeping there was this thunderstorm, and this extremely loud boom of thunder shook the entire house and woke me up and caused my prius' alarm to go off. I think the combination of thunder and a powerful horn would have given me a heart attack. As it happened, the combination of thunder and the horn of a little clown car only served to startle me. :D
