I came across this hybrid company.

Buy New Hybrid Batteries for Toyota & Lexus - Exclusively Hybrid

They make their own battery. They claim they space out the modules so there is better air flow and the battery is better ventilated..

Check it out and leave constructive feedback.

    4 concerns:

    1) palm beach, fl. how will you get warranty service?

    2) why would you pay the same price as a long term proven oem?

    3) 80 bucks to process your credit card?(n)

    4) you have to ship back your old core. how much $$$$$?

I did not see the 80 bucks to process credit card.
I think I saw the price included return shipping.
For warranty I would assume they would ship

I posted to the list because they claim their batteries stay cooler then oem because mods are spaced out.

I think as car companies move more into a hybrid system, these type of repair places will pop up.

these types of places have been around for years. this website is littered with all the poor souls who have been burned by them.

if i needed a new battery, i would call all the dealers i was willing to drive to, and get the best price.

if i couldn't find anything around 2k, i would buy from 'newpriusbatteries.com' for $1,600. at least he is a long time member here who responds to emails, and keeps his thread current

Well right now I don't need one.
Boch sells the battery for 1,608 on line with a pick only. I would go that route if I needed a battery.

Greetings... Not sure where they fit into the history of the round batteries for Prius... But in terms of reliability, responsible ownership and participation in Priuschat, the guy @2k1Toaster on here sells NewPriusBatteries that are a lower price and probably a better build quality. Also there's a much lower quality Chinese version that's a copy of his efforts for a similar price. And I suspect the link you're sharing is somewhere between these two, but maybe just the Chinese knock off.

Additionally by next fall you'll be able to buy Lithium-based pack from the guy who created Dr. Prius app, which uses a modern battery chemistry compared to all the others which is based on 30 year old chemistry: Dr. Prius Packs Less Than A Year Away? | PriusChat

You would buy a used one for the same prices as new cells that run cooler??

BTW NewPriusBatteries has had NO warranty claims on their battery. How many of the other companies can truthfully say that??
