    I think this one also has an AMT provision on it, unlike the current car tax credit.

    My accountant once told me the credit could be taken either in the tax year payment occurred or the tax year of placing in service. In other words, it isn't necessary the charging station be up and running before 12/31 as long as it has been paid for prior to that date.
