Last night was my first night experience in my new Gen III/Model II.
The low beam setting on headlights produced a beam that was too low.
Called dealer to request adjustment. He told me they are automatically
set by computer. I assume he meant the on-board computer.
He didn't think he could make an adjustments in the shop.
    IS THIS TRUE? ANY IDEAS?

They can indeed be adjusted vertically.

    The dealer is wrong.

I've got the same problem with my LED headlights ( I realize you don't have LEDs.)

My dealer and factory rep both said headlights are not adjustable. That doesn't make any sense. There has to be a starting point, the car isn't born with the headlights perfectly aimed.

I had a Priuschat person search TIS for "headlight adjustment for 2010 Prius" and they came up with a procedure. Ask your dealer to search TIS and see what they come up with. TIS document # RM0000011MI(or 1)O(or 0)3JX

Let me know how it works out for you.

Halogens are not computer adjusted - they're a fixed height based on the vertical adjustment screw under the hood.

LED headlights are auto-leveling, but have a baseline vertical adjustment. A height sensor on the rear axle connected to the headlight ECU determines what "adjustment" is needed to maintain the baseline while the lights are on under certain conditions.
