I need to replace the driver's-side headlight bulb and have started to do so. I think I fully understand the process. So far I have removed the plug and the boot. I'm ready to take out the bulb but I realized that I don't know where the plug is that I just removed from the bulb. Evidently it dropped down somewhere and I don't know how to retrieve it.

Does anyone have an idea of how I might find this thing? I don't know where the wires go but I suspect that might be a feasible approach. Of course the space is tight and visibility is limited. I'm considering using a wire hanger hook to gently tug on whatever wires I can see down there, hoping that I pull the right one up. But maybe there's an easier way?

If fishing for the wire fails, it's not that big of a job to remove the entire assembly.
